Here a few weeks ago, I posted a short blog about dealing with spambots and people spamming your forms and blogs. Of course, it did nothing to get rid of those scum. However, it gave me something to use for a YouTube Video… and my first attempt at playing with Adobe Premiere.

I thought I would embed the video here, too.

Recently, I started writing a blog related to US News, on Today.com. Not only do I get an opportunity to write thought provoking content, it also gives me a chance to create a corresponding graphic each day with my post. Rather than simply posting my rants, raves and insight, this provides an outlet or forum to shed some light on my graphic design capability, too.

In my quest to learn a more finite solution for getting web pages ranked on Google, I stumbled across a book I imagined would be analogous to finding the guru on the mountain top to discover the meaning of life. I picked up Langville and Meyer’s Google’s PageRank and Beyond and sat down to discover the answer to SEM.

I needed to post this update, regarding my earlier post on how to deal with pirates. I had previously said to give the scoundrels thirty minutes to free their hostages, or face the consequences. In retrospect, that could actually increase the odds that the hostages would all be killed because the captors would know their imminent fate and have nothing to lose by killing the hostages first. In other words, why show all your cards, especially when American lives are hanging in the balance. However,
