I needed to post this update, regarding my earlier post on how to deal with pirates. I had previously said to give the scoundrels thirty minutes to free their hostages, or face the consequences. In retrospect, that could actually increase the odds that the hostages would all be killed because the captors would know their imminent fate and have nothing to lose by killing the hostages first. Unemployment Numbers Skyrocket …
Whether or not you are employed, if you are like millions of Americans, you are feeling the pinch in today’s economy. The problems with our national and local economies, although multi-faceted, include a central issue that is plaguing families from coast to coast. The chronic problem stems from the decisions made by private companies and the failure of our government officials to recognize and address these serious issues that perpetuate America’s climbing jobless rates; which continue to soar out of control.

The economy is as bad now as I have seen it in my lifetime. From what I read and hear it is not confined to the people here in America. However, because I live here in America, I read and hear more about companies that are closing down and large corporations on American soil that want to be bailed out by taxpayers.
